3/19/11 11:34 pm - Comic/Manga Coloring Tutorial I haven't updated this journal in forever, and for lack of anywhere else to shove this at the moment, it's going here! This is a tutorial on one of the many ways to color line art. I use Adobe CS5, which isn't that different from the last few versions. Here I will explain how to use layer masks and gradients to make coloring different sections of your image a lot easier. To make this helpful to as many people as possible, I'm writing it as though someone has only basic Photoshop knowledge. Since none of the original pieces I'm working on are near this stage yet, I'm commandeering a panel of Allen Walker out of the manga D.Gray-Man to help me.   |

12/8/09 04:04 am - This is me. Being amused.Someone on DeviantArt is claiming that I stole my DDS caramelldansen animation from them. This is amusing because it's CARAMELLDANSEN. THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME. I'm pretty sure there's one base going around that people use to build characters off. Over and over again. We happened to pick the same characters. Two VERY DISTINCT LOOKING characters. I'll admit they look similar, but there's only so much variation when you're using the exact same characters and making them do the exact same dance. lol they even bitched about me stealing the 'title' of their pic, my "Digital Devil Dansen" vs their "Digital Devil Caramelldansen." What the hell else am I gonna call it? And Cielo's expression? Is All. Over. Deviantart. >.< And what the hell other expression do they expect me to give Gale? I even did reference of the two next to each other. (edit: this one is better since it shows size difference, because they're now using size as a point of theft) Mine are the bright ones with the flat colors. I linked it to them so they could see that they're being retarded. I think they're just being butthurt because now they're not the only one with a DDSdansen. Not to mention I'm working on adding the whole cast in. I even have Heat done, though I'm probably going to redraw them into flash to make it easier on myself. I must seriously be bored, I'm so amused by this. UPDATE: Okay, so the fact that Cielo's hair swaying in the same direction was stolen from them too? Because now they created PHYSICS apparently. If you wanna read what I said to them it's all under the only comment here. I will not be responding to them anymore, though I might post a DA journal about it in case they try to start something. I don't trust people IDK. I'm an artist, we tend to defend our shit like rabid dogs. |
